"Voice of the Water" is a short story featuring one man's obsession with the sound of water.

Hard circumstances have brought Berry to an isolated existence where his only solace is alcohol and introspection.  He holds little hope for the future until a particular utterance announces itself.  If he can only understand its meaning, perhaps the water has a message for him.
